GENERAL RULES

>>> amor seeks to provide a fun, stress-free, and creatively encouraging environment for players of all skillsets. we are a 3/3/3 rating asking for players to be 18+ before engaging with our community.

>>> this is a game, we're writing fiction, please don't take anything ic to heart. obviously power-player or godmodding is not allowed unless you are given express permission from the player of the character.

>>> be respectful towards each other and the staff team. staff are here to moderate within the game, issues that crop up outside the game are not to be dealt with by staff. if you have issues with another member please take it to dms. if you feel like the situation is out of control then please contact a staff member.


application

>>> our application is required and must be filled out entirely before you can be accepted. it shouldn't be longer than 24 hours to be accepted, but if it is, please feel free to contact a member of the staff team!

>>> make sure you check out the database before you join so you aren't duplicating names or face claims! surnames cannot be shared unless characters are related, first names cannot be joined under variations. patronus should be unique to your character, though we do allow overlap. when searching for faceclaims or used names, use ctrl-f to see if the person or name is used already (face claim names do not prevent the use of the name for a character, however). when searching for patronus, look for the animal by their basic name (ie. dog instead of beagle, horse instead of arabian, fox instead of arctic fox, goat instead of nubian goat, deer instead of fallow deer, etc.) to find specifically used patronus animals due to the limitation of the search engine.

>>> all characters must be 18+ to be joined on site in accordance to tos. please use the 7 +/- rule when using face claims so we don't have any 19 year olds looking 45.

>>> please password protect your application(s) and posts in case there's a need to edit!


magical information

>>> hogsway is our equivalent of post-hogwarts education. you are allowed to join professors, students, or any other position within the university (aside from Chancellor, which is NPC). there are no houses within the university system and wix/creatures/muggles from all places attend HUMP.

>>> you can choose your own patronus OR have one randomized for you by staff, if you choose to have it randomized make sure to include that as an extra note in your application for us!

>>> if you would like to join a canon from the original series (or a character related to those canons), please contact a staff member and they can help you figure something out!


activity

>>> we do not have any sort of caps on amor but we humbly ask that you create characters with life and vibrancy to them. if we feel you are making too many 'shell' characters we reserve the right to ask you to hold off for a bit before making any new ones.

>>> we require a minimum of one post per character each month to be considered active. this is a very relaxed requirement, we're all adults with busy lives and other hobbies outside of role-play.

>>> we won't be holding any formal activity checks, though we will sweep the site every 2-3 months to keep things updated, so make sure to leave a note if you're going to be away for an extended period of time!


posting

>>> there's no word minimum or maximum. post however much you feel.

>>> we consider ourselves a mature rated role-play and expect our members to handle these themes with care. please be considerate when delving into uncomfortable topics - note, even though we're mature rated, we're not a smut site.

>>> if you need help with posting code or need a basic framework do not hesitate to contact a staff member to help you, that's what we're here for!
